Have you heard that high glycemic foods and high blood sugar contribute to skin conditions like acne, rosacea, aging, and seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff)? It’s true! Managing your diet can do much more than sculpt your physique, it can improve the health of the largest organ... your skin! High blood sugar is due to eating foods with a high glycemic index (cookies, cake, refined carbs found in white bread, and many other foods including “junk food”). Repeated spikes in your blood sugar result in inflammation, which damages your cellular structures. This damage is called Glycative Stress, and it can cause unhealthy changes to your skin including: aging, acne, seborrheic dermatitis, rosacea, and other, undesirable skin conditions. How do you control your blood sugar? I’m sure you’ve heard a lot about this in the media, but you need to take more care of what you eat and focus on medium-to-low glycemic foods. This includes fruits, veggies, meat, beans, coarsely-ground grains, seeds, nuts, and olive oil to name a few. You can find more information on diet and how it supports healthy skin in my free Ebook found here: https://www.drbaileyskincare.com/info... Thank you for watching and have a great day!
